Hospital Visit Instructions

  • Please report to the front desk at the main reception at your scheduled appointment time.
  • Please bring all your medical reports (systemic + eye related) and details of investigations as well.
  • If you need any Assistance (For Emergency cases, Senior Citizens, Pregnant Ladies, Vulnerable Patients, etc.), please contact and inform the Front Desk at Reception on arrival.
  • Please note that the 'appointment time' is the time for you to report at the reception and is NOT the time when the Consultant would be seeing you.
  • The Consultant is likely to see you after your complete initial checkup is done and there may be a waiting as well. We aim to keep the waiting time to within 1 hour. Sometimes, medical emergencies and the needs of other patients may cause additional delay.
  • Once you arrive at the centre, you would first get yourself registered at the Front Desk, and then the detailed workup shall be done by the optometrists and/or the assistant doctors. If required, your eyes may also need to be dilated for a comprehensive retinal examination, and the dilatation may take 30-45 minutes. After this comprehensive initial workup, you would be seen by the Ophthalmic Consultant, and may involve a bit of wait as well.
  • You will undergo a detailed assessment of your eyes. A complete eye examination may take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of your problem and the need for special consultations with other specialists.
  • In case of dilatation of eyes, your vision will be blurred for the next 3-4 hours. In case you need a dilated pupil examination we would request you to please have someone to accompany you as it would not be advisable for you to drive for next few hrs.
  • The doctor may decide to perform additional tests and investigations as necessary after your initial evaluation. The time and charges for additional tests and investigations will be conveyed to you before these are performed.
  • In case you are unable to keep the appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We would help you reschedule the appointment based on doctor's availability.
