Dr. Satanshu Mathur is a very reputed senior ophthalmologist with a very high volume practice at Kashipur,Uttarakhand.

He has several years of experience behind him. After his post graduate training at Meerut medical college, he worked at Modi eye hospital, a unit of National Society for the Prevention of blindness and subsequently as a consultant at the well known Sitapur Eye Hospital at Sitapur .He also went for training to Germany under Prof. Dr med K.H. Emmerich.

Dr. Mathur is a pioneer in miniendoscopic lacrimal system surgeries using microdrill and laser .In fact, he is the first and the only eye surgeon in India to have adopted and perfected this technique. Besides this, he is a very proficient and skilled surgeon with expertise in dealing with all kinds of eye surgeries (including phacoemulsification for cataract, oculoplasty surgeries, glaucoma, squint, etc.) investigations and lasers.

Dr. Mathur is an active life member of many ophthalmological societies like International Society of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgeons (ISMICS), Oculoplasty Society of India, All India Ophthalmological Society, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, UP State Ophthalmological Society, and Uttarakhand Ophthalmological Society.

He has been actively involved as a speaker, convener, moderator and organizer at the various conferences organized by these ophthalmic societies. He has also conducted workshops and wet labs in these conferences.

He was the organizing secretary of the annual conference of the Uttarakhand state Ophthalmological society held at Corbett National Park in October 2007. He is the regional co-coordinator of International Society of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgeons.

He is a certified teacher of manual small incision cataract surgery, certified by ISMICS. He has many publications in National and International Journals to his credit.
